Description:

Wem Combine Harvesters’ Popular Spring & Autumn Markets.

Wem Combine Harvesters’ popular biannual markets showcase a wonderful selection of locally produced food, drink, crafts and plants. Held each Spring and Autumn, the markets welcome many returning stallholders alongside new exhibitors.

The market is spread across two convenient locations:

  • Wem Town Hall, High Street, Wem, SY4 5DG – a covered indoor venue.
  • Wem Jubilee Square, adjacent to the Wem Co-op – an open-air market space.

Both venues are just a short walk from each other and the central car park. Directional signs will be in place on market day to help visitors find both sites.

Stall Information

Stalls are available for £16 per table or equivalent space.

At Wem Town Hall, tables (approximately 5 ft × 2 ft 6 in) are provided and set up in advance, with chairs also supplied.

Traders on Jubilee Square are required to provide their own tables and display equipment. A limited number of gazebos are available.

To give all traders the best opportunity for successful sales, stalls are carefully allocated to achieve a balanced mix of products across the market.

Application forms and trader information leaflets are available through Wem Local. Details of confirmed stallholders will also be published on the website, and traders can request a link from the market website to their own website.

Hot Food Vendors Welcome

We are particularly keen to hear from hot food vendors wishing to trade on Jubilee Square.

Booking Criteria

Bookings are subject to the market's selection criteria. Stallholders must produce or manufacture at least 80% of the goods they sell.

Priority is given to:

  • Creating a balanced range of products across the market.
  • Traders who make or produce their own goods within an approximate 30-mile radius of Wem.

Please note that applications are not allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Live Music

Visitors can also enjoy live music from Wem Jubilee Band, who will be performing on Jubilee Square from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon.

This market is organised by WEM COMBINE HARVESTERS [WCH], an ‘umbrella name’ for the community organisations: Wem Civic Society, Wem & District Gardening Club, and Incredible Edible in Wem. It is intended to showcase local food, drink and craft products. All profits are used in the operation of the groups and community projects in and around Wem.
