Description:

Wem Combine Harvesters’ popular biannual markets for food, drink, crafts and plants, are held in the Spring and Autumn with many stallholders returning for each market.

The market has two sites: Wem Town Hall and Wem Jubilee Square (adjacent to Wem Co-op). The Town Hall is a covered site; the Jubilee Square is open air.

All venues are easy reach of each other. Directional signing to each site is erected on market day.

Stalls are available at £16 per table or for equivalent space.

Covered accommodation in Wem Town Hall: tables are provided, approx. 5ft x 2ft 6ins., already set up.  Chairs also provided. Traders on Jubilee Square must supply their own furniture; there are a limited number of gazebos.

A large car park is available in the town centre, only a short distance from the markets.

Balanced allocation of stalls takes place to ensure that traders have good sales opportunities.

Bookings will be taken subject to fitting the criteria of WCH markets, stallholders must produce or manufacture at least 80% of the goods that they sell and priority is given to (1) the balance of goods for sale in the market, and (2) traders who produce their own goods within an approximate 30-mile radius of Wem.

More information can be found in the Wem Combine Harvesters’ section on the website, Wem Local. Listing and details of stallholders the market will be given on this site. A link from the market website to your own website can also be provided.

This market is organised by WEM COMBINE HARVESTERS [WCH], an ‘umbrella name’ for the community organisations: Wem Civic Society, Wem & District Gardening Club, and Incredible Edible in Wem. It is intended to showcase local food, drink and craft products. [All profits are used in the operation of the groups and community projects in and around Wem.]
