Description:
Today is the most vibrant day of our calendar! Historically the Pontefract Liquorice Festival can bring as many as 25,000 visitors to the town, on coaches from around the country.
The Liquorice Festival celebrates Pontefracts long connection to Liquorice and in particular the famous Pontefract Cakes!
We will have 40 fabulous stalls in Pontefract Town Hall, many embracing the liquorice theme with their makes and bakes.
If we're lucky we might even get a visit from Lucy Liquorice herself!
