Description:
The Multi-cultural Festival has been held for many years in the town centre. We have moved this popular music and dance event to the bandstand on the Leas to allow the public ample space to sit in comfort and enjoy the entertainment and food.
Planned music include Ukranian, Filipino, Gypsy Jazz, Tequila Band and African fusion and entertainment from the respected local Napalese community. There will be traditional & contemporary dance from local and national artists.
In collaboration with the New Folkestone Society the event will extend westward from the bandstand towards the Grand with vintage buses and cars on display and a planned steam rally.
(Sadly there will be no Air Display with the Red Arrows this summer as they are performing in Australia.)
We welcome applications for space from vintage, retro, art, craft, gift and artisan food retailers and also market traders.
