Description:

Step into the magic of Christmas as Norwich welcomes its very own traditional German-style Christmas market with 80+ wooden huts, festive lights, handmade gifts, delicious food and drink, family fun and so much more.  Over 80 artisan stalls packed with handmade treasures, seasonal décor, jewellery, candles, home-ware and unique gifts, perfect for last minute Christmas shopping.

  • Festive food & drinks court around the bandstand: from warming winter street food to cosy drinks (including hot chocolate, vegan options, mulled drinks and other festive treats), great for grabbing a bite between visits.
  • Fun for all ages with family-friendly activities including a magical elf trail to keep children entertained.
  • Live entertainment & atmosphere with festive performances by local schools, bands, choirs, dance clubs and musicians to soundtrack your visit under twinkling lights.
  • Gifts, crafts & festive finds, the kind of handmade, heartfelt gifts and decorations that reflect community, creativity and the spirit of a real Christmas market.

Why you should join as a trader: Christkindl Market Norwich is more than just a shopping destination, and it is not your usual craft fair: we are bringing a premium, European-style alpine village to Norwich city centre, featuring traditional wooden chalets, festive lighting, an artisan food court, music and dance entertainment provided by Wildcraft Brewery, family activities provided by Finnbar's Force, and fire pits hosted by Naked Marshmallow.

We prepared a projected footfall using live data from the city centre from the past few years: Norwich BID data recorded 1.85M+ December visitors in their last city report, with approximately 600,000–700,000 in the city centre during our 10-day run.

Positioned right by Chantry Place, we are targeting 10% of that footfall. Through our partnership with VisitNorwich, volunteer 'Blue Coats' will point shoppers directly from the high street towards our gates, alongside an average of 8 daily tourist coaches which the blue coats will welcome and also point towards the market as festive highlight. Not to mention the Theatre Royal panto crowds, upwards of 2,000 guests per day, just a stone's throw away!

We are planning a major press, radio, and newsletter outreach via VisitNorwich, a big social media campaign starting in August, and flyers/posters throughout October, November, and December. We are also being strictly selective with trader categories to protect our vendors' sales margins and proudly adhere to the Real Deal Charter.

Disclaimer. Fine City Events is committed to creating a safe, reputable and authentic festive market experience. In line with the values of the Real Deal Charter, we uphold the highest standards of fair trading, transparency and intellectual property protection. To protect both traders and visitors, we strictly prohibit the sale of counterfeit, unlicensed or IP-infringing products. We also do not accept stalls selling cheap imports, replicas, or mass-produced copycat items that undermine genuine makers and small creative businesses.  Our aim is to champion: - Authentic, original, handmade or ethically sourced goods - Fair trading practices - A market free from counterfeits and unsafe products - A trusted environment for families, visitors and local artisans   By applying to trade, vendors agree to follow UK Trading Standards requirements when selecting the items to sell at their stall, and uphold the principles reflected in the Real Deal Charter. This ensures a high-quality, reputable market that celebrates creativity, craftsmanship and community.
