Get ready for a sizzling celebration of flavours! Charnwood’s very first Food Festival is set to take over Loughborough’s Market Place this summer, bringing together a vibrant mix of street food vendors, local producers, and artisan treats.

Visitors can expect a feast for the senses with everything from global cuisine to local favourites, live family-friendly entertainment, and more. This is a delicious new addition to the borough’s events calendar and promises to be a day packed with tasty experiences for all ages.

Trader Callout

We’re looking for street food heroes, artisan producers, sweet treat creators, and passionate local traders to be part of Charnwood’s first ever Food Festival!

Set in the heart of Loughborough, this brand-new event is expected to draw big crowds with a mix of incredible food, vibrant atmosphere, and free family fun. Whether you serve up savoury delights, desserts, bakes, drinks, or foodie gifts – we want to hear from you!

Documentation Required

• £5m (minimum) Public Liability Insurance – All traders must provide documented evidence of valid public liability insurance with a minimum cover of £5 million.

• Risk Assessment – A completed risk assessment must be submitted with your application. For guidance on how to complete one, please visit the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) website.

• Fire Risk Assessment – Traders preparing hot food on site are also required to submit a fire risk assessment. A template will be provided to complete.

• Food Hygiene Certificate – All food traders must supply a copy of their current food hygiene certification.

• Gas Safety Certificate – If using any gas appliances, you must provide a valid gas safety certificate.

• PAT Certificates – If you’re bringing electrical equipment, portable appliance testing (PAT) certificates must be provided.

• Street Trading Licence – If you already hold a street trading licence, please include a copy with your application (optional but helpful).
