Dane John Gardens is unavailable as an events space in 2025 due to extensive improvement works, so to keep the spirit of Canterbury's Cooking alive, we are holding a beer and music festival at the Victoria Recreation Ground. Canterbrewery will be an event in its own right rather than simply a replacement for the Food Festival and ticketed due to ensure that we can provide the marquees and ground protection to hold the visitors, an insurance against poor weather.
The advantage of the recreation ground is that it comes with less restrictions, so the music can be louder and merriment can go on for longer as we all enjoy a final fling with summer.
