You'll find many direct sales companies and organisations (DSOs) whose representatives, agents and traders sell their products and services direct to their customers in their homes, via brochures or at local events. They range from large multi-national direct selling organisations with extensive Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) programmes to small independant companies with only a few consultants or stallholders in the UK.

Many of these DSOs are members of the Direct Selling Association (DSA). This is a UK organisation which sets out codes of conduct and guidance for companies involved in direct sales. You can find out more about the DSA at http://www.dsa.org.uk/.
