Rosie Relaunches Rugby Breastfeeding Cafe

rosie_and_amelie.jpgRosie Evans has won her fight to bring a breastfeeding cafe back to Rugby.

Rosie's fight to bring a breastfeeding cafe back to Rugby began when she was travelling to Coventry to visit a venue there after giving birth to baby Amelie a year ago. The city has nine breastfeeding cafes, run by Sure Start, but Rugby's only one closed in July 2006 because of staff shortages.

"The emotional and practical support I received was invaluable and crucial to the success of the breastfeeding relationship I have with my daughter. However, I realised that not all mothers have the luxury of having transport, like I did. Parents in Rugby deserve the support. That is why I decided to re-launch the Rugby breastfeeding cafe, giving expectant and breastfeeding mothers the opportunity to meet and talk to other mothers who understand how hard it can be."

With the help of friends and crucial support received from Sure Start, the facility will be up and running again at Rugby Library from July 18th. The cafe is set to open from 11am until 1pm every Friday at the library in Little Elborow Street. Rosie contacted Stallfinder to tell us about her launch event and you can learn more about it by clicking on this link.
