Description:

Tissington Craft Fair is proud to be an independent market which focuses exclusively on handcrafted and individually designed products. We’re excited to be holding markets during the last three days of Tissington Well Dressing Week.

As a small traditional makers market, it’s important that each of our 11 stalls offer something truly unique and our commitment to promoting artisan products sets us apart, providing a platform for talented makers to showcase their creativity.

We are dedicated to creating a vibrant and friendly market experience for our visitors to enjoy.  Our meticulous curation process, driven by a comprehensive application form, enables us to select the best products with an emphasis on quality and originality.  This guarantees our customers a diverse variety of products to explore and provides each maker with the opportunity to shine.

Held in the picturesque village of Tissington (just 3.5 miles from the popular market town of Ashbourne in the Derbyshire Peak District).  The Tissington estate has been privately owned by the FitzHerbert family since the 1460’s and we are proud to hold our markets in a location so steeped in history.

The village is world famous for its Well Dressings, which take place annually.  There are 6 working wells in the village, which are dressed with a design created entirely from natural materials, including petals from local flowers, coffee beans and leaves. The dressings are erected on the eve of Ascension Day and remain in place until the following Wednesday evening.

Each craft fair takes place in Tissington Village Hall, which is located opposite the village duck pond and between the Town Well and the Yew Tree Well.  The historic building has been recently renovated and has a fresh modern style inside  providing the perfect setting for our events which take place regularly between April and October.

During the Well Dressing week there is a one way system in operation for vehicles coming into the village.  There is a different entrance into the village than usual but this is clearly sign posted on the A515.  There is a small charge for parking in the village and all funds raised go to local charities.  Disabled parking is available.  Once in the village on foot, head past Tissington Hall and keep left.  When you see the duck pond, turn left and the village hall is on the left hand side.

There is free entry for visitors to all of our craft fairs and your four legged friends are more than welcome too!

Although you will see steps up to the main entrance, alternative access is available for wheelchair users and those with restricted mobility upon request.  Disabled toilet facilities are also available.

If you are interested in becoming one of our stallholders or would like further details, please apply via the “Stallholder Applications” form on our website.
