Description:
The Castle Bytham Midsummer Festival is an annual event which takes place over a 2 day period. Saturday is dedicated to music and entertainment with a range of bands and groups playing from midday in a festival style arrangement which is accompanied by a Bar/BBQ.
Sunday is the main event with a range of activities taking place during the day. The main village streets are taken over by a Summer Fair with more than 50 stalls selling a range of crafts and goodies, not to mention our own very popular tombola stall. The Village Hall becomes a homely café for the day and activities around the village consist of:
- Street entertainment
- Live music
- Traditional Duck race
- Dog Show
The music and bar/BBQ continues throughout the day in our entertainment meadow and we have another excellent line up this year.
The event attracts people from across the country and we expect to see in the region of 2000 plus visitors to the event which has ample free parking.
It's too early to confirm but we have also had a weekend highlight, a flypast by the Battle of Britain Memorial flight including the Spitfire, Lancaster and Hunter Hurricane and we've even had the Red Arrows - we'll know more about that nearer the time.
